My self care
Self-care I am trying out:
Face:
-face masks (such as eggwhite masks, charcoal masks, mud masks, etc)
-lip care (such as using chapstick, log gloss, lip scrubs)
-eyebrows growth (letting them grow and just brush the hairs with a small brush)
-face (washing every day, putting moisturizer, bio-oil, vitamin E oil, and argan oil)
-eyelashes growth (using argan and castor oil on lashes)
Body:
-smelling good (showering every day, putting scented lotion, and perfume)
-skincare (moisturizer, vitamin E oil, argan oil, and bio-oil)
-shaving (uses conditioner and then puts on oil and moisturizer)
-exercises, workout routine, dancing (such as belly dancing and etc)
Hair:
-hair masks (such as egg whites, and store masks)
-brushes hair and cuts occasionally when too messy or too long
-washes hair (every day)
Diet:
-no soda (I only drink juices, teas, and water)
-food (three meals and two snacks)
-no eating after midnight
How I'm trying to keep this up:
-putting alarms and reminders on my phone
-trying different things so I won't get bored by doing one thing all the time (I mostly am doing this with my workouts so I can see what I like and what is best for me)
-making different playlist depending on my moods so I can listen to them when I'm mad, sad, inspired, motivated, or etc
-motivating myself by putting quotes around my room, watching motivational videos, setting easy goals for me to reach now, and setting bigger goals to reach later on like in weeks, months or years
-keeping a journal and writing everything I feel so I can feel better and see my progress as I go on
-recording inspirational little speeches to myself so I can later listen to them when I want to give up I just listen to it and get inspired
Tips:
-don't count calories, I once tried to do that but I got too obsessed with how many calories I was eating all the time and I was being really restrictive to a point I got too skinny which is bad because I lost a lot of my progress like my strength, muscles, energy was just horrible so I stopped
-don't be self-conscious about anything, I was self-conscious about a lot of things when I very first started to do self-care like workout or exercise because I thought I wasn't good enough or I would never be but I shouldn't have because that destroys self-esteem and I had to learn the hard way that everyone including myself is beautiful they just have to accept it, learn it, and believe it
-don't overwork yourself, if you reached your limit where you reached your goal but you want to keep going for any reason don't because when you overwork yourself you are setting yourself for disaster and you have to remember you need time to do things and you can't force to do everything in a small amount of time
-always praise yourself all the time, I didn't do enough of this when I started a long time ago but now I know this is one important step of self-care because it can be easy to forget about yourself when you focus on other things, you need to tell yourself that you can do things and you are worth it and you will get there within time
-always try your best with everything and give it 100%
-be patient and give yourself time
*I just started this self-care plan a few days ago and I feel a lot better with my energy levels but do remember I personalized this plan for me so anyone can try it but do remember you won't get results quickly because this kind of stuff takes time and patience. And also remember what might work for me might not work for you so try some of the stuff you like and have worked or do some research and find what you can about self-care and do different things until you find things to stick with or you like. The only thing I recommend you follow and really listen to is my tips, not because I'm a professional or anything but because I have tried to do many self-care plans before and failed, those tips are what I learned what I did wrong when I tried but now that I know I wanted to share my experiences and retry this the right way.
